This is how we fill up the pump up when asked for a 50/50 mix

[0:00] all right in this video we're going to go over mixing our pump up sprayer with bleach and water a lot of times you hear the guys go go make me a 50/50 bleach and so when we got our pump up sprayer almost every single time we want a 50-50 mix it's very important that you don't make it stronger than 50/50 unless you get permission from the crew leader bleach is very corrosive it could be do

[0:30] a lot of damage to paint and grass and landscaping so we've got to be very careful when we're mixing our pump ups with some bleach and water try to do it on concrete surfaces if you accidentally spill it on grass or something make sure that your wedding that down immediately because this definitely can kill grass and landscaping but it's a real simple thing this is one example it's a one gallon pump pump sprayer so 50/50 pitch just means that we're going to fill this

[1:00] up halfway with our bling chore otherwise known as pool chlorine and remember it's the sodium hypochlorite in the bleach that actually kills and on here you'll see that the sodium hypochlorite the active ingredient is ten and a half percent so that's what makes it so effective compared to a store-bought the percentage of the sodium hypochlorite in

[1:32] the chlorine that you would get at a normal pool store it's much stronger than what you'd get at a store-bought bleach and that's what kills the mold and algae but again you don't want it too strong 50/50 is ideally the stronger you want to go there are a few instances where we have to go stronger than that but on those occasions we need to make sure that we have the proper okay from a

[2:03] crew leader before going that route now it's important when you fill this up you'll have a tendency to want to fill it up all the way to the top here but you actually only want to fill it up to the top line here and what happens is if you fill it up too much once you put this back on it gets into these threads and it'll curl these threads so it's important to just go to the top of the fill line instead of going all the way up here because then you have caused overflow and the salt and that chlorine

[2:34] will actually tear up the threads there you have it that's a 50/50 mix
