Parrish, Florida, with its humid subtropical climate, can often be a haven for mold and mildew on pavers They thrive in damp, shaded areas, making your beautiful pavers a potential target. Mold not only detracts from the aesthetic appeal of your outdoor space but can also make surfaces slippery and dangerous. If your pavers in Parrish have succumbed to mold growth, don't fret. Here's how you can effectively get rid of it and reclaim the beauty of your patio or driveway:

Safety First: Before you begin, ensure you're wearing protective gloves and eyewear. The mold spores and the cleaning agents (like bleach) can be harmful.

Loose Debris Removal: Start by sweeping the pavers with a stiff broom to remove any loose debris and dirt.

Light Pressure Washing: For mold that's not deeply embedded, a light pressure washing can often do the trick. It's essential to use light pressure to avoid damaging the pavers or washing away the joint sand between them. If you're unfamiliar with operating a pressure washer, it might be a good idea to call professionals like Premier Pro Wash & Seal. Their expert team can ensure the mold is removed without causing any harm to your pavers.

Bleach Solution: For stubborn mold, a bleach solution can be highly effective. Mix one part bleach with three parts water. Apply this solution to the moldy areas and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes. Scrub the area with a brush to ensure the mold is entirely removed. Rinse the area thoroughly with clean water afterward. Go as strong as 1:1 if needed for stubborn mold on pavers. Remember, bleach can potentially harm plants, so it's crucial to rinse off any plants or grass nearby after using the bleach solution.

Drying: Allow the pavers to dry completely. The sun can be a natural mold deterrent, so if possible, expose your pavers to sunlight.

Sealing: To prevent future mold growth, consider sealing your pavers. A good quality sealer can make the surface less porous, reducing the chances of mold taking hold again. Premier Pro Wash & Seal offers high-quality paver sealing services that can help protect against mold, mildew, and other stains.

Regular Maintenance: Periodically check and clean your pavers, especially after prolonged rainy spells. Keeping your pavers clean and dry is a simple yet effective preventive measure against mold.

Conclusion:
Mold on pavers can be unsightly and hazardous, but with the right approach, you can easily combat it. While DIY methods are useful, for best results and to prevent damage to your pavers, consider consulting professionals. Premier Pro Wash & Seal, with its team of experts, can ensure your pavers are mold-free and looking their best.

[0:01] how do you get mold off of pavers it's actually not too difficult there's a couple of ways to do it that we recommend obviously you can pressure wash it but just keep in mind if you're going to use a pressure washer just to get the mold off you can be effective as long as that mold is not deep embedded into the stone but if it's been sitting there a while and it's deep into the stone it may take a little bit more than just pressure you may have to use some chemicals to help lift it off but if it's light on there

[0:33] you can use a light pressure I would not use a lot of pressure we we run into homeowners all the time that brag about how their home deep their Home Depot pressure washer has three four five thousand PSI that's totally not needed you can get a very very good clean for less than fifteen hundred PSI on pavers so you don't want to use too much pressure because you don't want to blow out all the sand unnecessarily and also

[1:04] you don't want to scar the pavers one of the most effective ways though to get mold off of the pavers is just simply using a little bit of bleach inside bleach mix with it and while that's why that's recommended or even preferred is because there's an ingredient in the bleach it's called sodium hydrochlorite and the higher concentration of that sodium hypochlorite the more effective you can be on killing the mold spores on your pavers so I prefer you get a much better

[1:38] cleaning if you use a combination of the two light pressure mixed with some bleach I know some people are paranoid about bleach and I do understand that because using it too strong can kill nearby grass or plants it can do some damage to some paint if used too strong so make sure if you're going to use bleach start off with one part bleach three parts water and then go a little bit stronger as needed but as you apply

[2:08] the bleach just simply apply it onto the affected area let it sit for a few minutes and then after a few minutes just slightly pressure wash or hose it and that's a very very effective way of getting mold off favors the most effective way and the most consistent way would be to consider sealing your pavers if you have your pavers sealed you will still get mold but it'll be very superficial and one of the best analogies I try to paint the picture to

[2:39] customers is letting them know like a sealed paver is no different than a wax Car you get your car waxed you don't ever get it waxed with the impression that you'll never have to clean it again of course we know we're going to have to wash it again and it's still going to get dirty but if it's been waxed it's much easier to clean off and usually if dirt or debris gets into your car paint it's just very very light superficial and washes right off same concept with pavers

[3:09] you're still going to get some build up onto the pavers especially if you go long periods without at least washing and maintaining them but if you do have them sealed then the mold typically is just sitting on top it's very superficial and it's much easier to clean off so if you're interested feel free to give us a call or text at 813-335-2869 check out our webpage at www.premierepro wash and seal or just
