Unfortunately, many homeowners choose who they want to seal their pavers based solely on price. Many think that for the most part…the sealers are the same. Far from it especially here in the Tampa, Florida area.
Instead, you need a sealer that is adaptable to our wet, humid, tropical environment. We average over 50 inches of rain per year so you better make sure the sealer that is applied is a sealer that won't fail and the business you hire knows what they're doing. Unfortunately, to fix this type of issue (that we see daily) cost 3-4 times what a normal clean, sand, and seal would be. That means, it will cost a homeowner on average about $4,000 to fix.
Premier Pro Wash & Seal strongly recommends when paver sealing whether with a wet look sealer or a natural looking sealer that a water-based sealer is strongly recommended for use. Also, using the right sand and at the right levels is just as important.
If you want a seal job done right, with confidence, and backed by a guarantee….consider Premier Pro Wash & Seal. We serve areas outside of Tampa, Florida such as Brandon, Lithia, Valrico, Wesley Chapel, South Tampa, Riverview, Apollo Beach, Ruskin, Parrish, Wimuama, Ruskin, Gibsonton and more. [0:04] good morning guys coming at you from apollo beach florida and um i just thought i'd take a few minutes and show you guys a pool deck that i was asked to come out and take a look at a sealed job and just show you the results of a sealed job done almost everything wrong so don't just take my word for it let's take a look at it so guys when you're having a contractor and you're considering
[0:35] having your pavers sealed please make sure that you're hiring contractors and businesses that you can see their work you can see their reviews and you just look at and do a little bit of research what you're looking at now this is sand that is sealed onto the coping the skimmer lid they sanded the entire skimmer lid
[1:06] and they sealed it they sealed it shut you can just see the sand levels this sand is like literally sealed just into the coping alone i mean this is the entire deck but this is just an example of the sand levels that you're seeing here the sand levels that you're seeing here this is all wrong when we have pavers look at this it's just all sealed into
[1:38] the pavers right on top but when you have sand levels your sand levels should not be this high your sand level should ideally be about an eighth of an inch below the edge over here this is what we call the chamfer edge anyway your sand level should be about an eighth of an inch below that there's reasons for that for draining and interlocking reasons but anyway when you're looking at this the sand levels are way too high
[2:11] way too high and it's all over the top of the pavers everywhere the entire pool deck this job should should cost somewhere depending on what option you choose should cost somewhere between a dollar to 1.50 a square foot to seal in contrast to correct this this is gonna cost most likely somewhere between two to
[2:41] five dollars a square foot to fix because now it needs to be stripped all the sand needs to be taken out i mean look at this this is actually sealed on top of the pavers this is sand the entire pool deck have i said that yet i think probably about nine times this is just everything in a pool deck gone wrong everything in a still job gone wrong and this is throughout the
[3:12] entire thing so guys please if you're looking to hire someone to seal your pavers there's a right way and there's a wrong way there are sealers there's good sealers and there's bad sealers and there's different quality of sealers so no one's going to have the exact same price but do your homework on that business make sure they're licensed make sure they have workman's comp look at the reviews and look at the work they've done in the past listen everyone
[3:44] makes mistakes we all get that but this is a big big mistake and this is going to cost the homeowner unfortunately a lot more money than they should have paid in the first place had they just hired a business not even us just a business that knows what they're doing and they do it right instead now they're going to pay three times what they should have had to pay in first place just because we got to have this fixed they could have been completely avoided
[4:14] so once again this is sealed on top of the pavers all over not just a few places skimmer lid shut i mean like that's just crazy to me all sealed in all of it this is underneath
[4:47] you can do better we can find better contractors than this guys
