We test spot every time in an inconspicuous area no matter what the job is. Some paints will have an adverse pigment reaction so it’s imperative we catch it early prior to pressure washing, prep sealing, or softwashing

[0:00] alright I'm back on this episode we're going to go over doing a test spot again any time you're working with bleach or any chemicals it's a good practice to always have gloves on now anytime we pull up to a house it doesn't matter what we're doing if there is a chance of bleach or a degreaser is going to be sprayed near a painted surface a fence anything like that it is required every job that we always do a test spot and

[0:30] when we do a test spot we ideally want to do it in a hidden place that if the bleach causes a paint pigment reaction that at least sits in a hidden spot so it's not out in the open view of course we would shut it down we would not wash that house or we would not clean whatever they have is cleaning that time due to the fact that that paint is susceptible to changing colors so on every single job we do a test spot with the 50/50 mix because 50/50 is about as

[1:04] high as we're gonna go so in this case I would just do it right over here in the corner let it sit for a few minutes and make sure we don't have a adverse reaction it's typical on the darker colors it'll turn like a green yellow a brown to green it does some really wicked stuff if it's going to have a paint reaction so that's why we want to

[1:35] make sure that that doesn't happen I don't want to turn a $300 house wash into a $5,000 paint job so it's very important that we always do this and we sign off that we did a test spot before every job even driveway cleanings even lanai cleanings that you don't think that you're going to get any bleach on to the house the overspray will will still get onto a house so we want to make sure of that every time
