Can pavers or travertine be sealed? Absolutely and there are many great benefits of doing so too.

1. Protection from sun fading out the pavers
2. Protection from spills such as grease and oil
3. Protection from erosion and pitting
4. Significantly mitigating mold and mildew
5. Significantly mitigating weeds
6. Color enhancement

These are some of the most important reasons to seal. However, choosing the right type of sealer, especially here in the Tampa Bay area (Riverview, Brandon, Valrico, Lithia, Ruskin, Apollo Beach, Parrish, Dover, Wesley Chapel, Gibsonton, Wimauma) is vitally important. Not choosing the right type of sealer and professional to apply the sealer can cause damage to the pavers and your wallet. Did you know that if the wrong type of sealer is applied and it needs stripped to be removed, the homeowner is going to have to spend 3-5 times the original cost to have it salvaged and restored. Sealing pavers requires experience and knowledge to know how to handle each unique situation.

We strongly urge you to use a company that specializes in paver sealing and one that uses a two part water-based sealer. Our sealer is one that lasts, on average, 3 years. Therefore, it is not one that has to be reapplied every year. It is also guaranteed not to flake, turn yellow, or trap moisture that solvent based sealers are known for in our area due to the copious amounts of rainfall and humidity here in Florida.

[0:00] hey guys Jeremy forests here with premier pro washing soo I just want to answer a question we get asked quite often or there's a lot of confusion with this question and that question is can your favors or your travertine be sealed and the short answer is yes absolutely it can be syllabus it's highly recommended to sylheti and we've got a little video to talk about some of the benefits of sailing but there are some things you want to be aware of though before you make that commitment number

[0:32] one is there's a process called efflorescence in pavers and you want time to kind of be on your side so you never want to seal right away ideally you want to wait at least 60 days from the time your pavers have been installed until it's time to seal again the reason is again because there's a process called efflorescence it kind of makes its way up to the top and so what we do is if you have a new install as we recommend that you wet those pavers about every other day to see if that's

[1:02] going to take place one of the things that you want to be aware of is yes your pavers can be over 60 days old but underneath that area a lot of pools here in Florida that you got half of it covered from the shade and just being underneath the patio you want to get that area just as wet too because a lot of times that area doesn't get wet from the rain simply because it's covered so well we advise you to do is just go out there with the water hose and wet that area

[1:35] another thing you want to take caution is the right type of sealer the right type of sealer is is I can't stress it enough it's very very important a lot of times when we go out and we do estimates one of the first questions we're going to add because have your papers been sealed before and what we have personally found if the papers have been sealed before if they use a solvent or oil-based sealer running into a lot of problems with those type of sealers because living

[2:06] here in the Tampa area as you guys know we get a tremendous amount of rainfall through the year and a lot of humidity and if those types of sealers aren't applied right bad things happen it starts trapping the moisture over time so that's why we strongly prefer using a company uses a water-based sealer such as ourselves water-based sealer doesn't have those same issues with the solvent the downside is they're a little bit more expensive you can't just run to Home Depot and grab a water based sealer

[2:39] like you can grab in a solvent based sealer at one of the popular box stores therefore yes your pavers can absolutely be sealed but having the right type of sealer is very important now up north and other areas they can get away with a solvent based sealer just find no issues and I'm not to say that you can't hear in the Florida area too but you have to have all the right conditions and do moisture tests and things like that before it's applied and most guys don't

[3:10] do that that's why it's just better off in the first place to use a water-based sealer so that you can get the most benefit just like a solvent based wood you can get a lot of color back you can even get a little bit of gloss and not have to worry in the meantime about that sailor trapping water and moisture over time and causing it to fail so if you would like a quote or an estimate feel free to call or text 8 1 3 3 3 5 2 8 6 9 or you can reach us on our
