[0:01] good morning we're going to talk about how to put the tape on the thread tape the thread here what you want to do is if you've got a lot of fraying at the end just try to take that off there make it nice and even if possible don't overthink it but it's important because see this little fray here
[0:32] this can cause actually a lot of damage so you don't want this getting sucked into the pumps into the machine it can literally shut you down for a day just off of this right here so wow this is a very simple task one thing you want to do is make sure that this is not hanging over and getting sucked in so once you do that you want to go clockwise go clockwise don't go
[1:05] counterclockwise and all you have to do is just go around once or twice this acts as a lubricant it's not necessarily to seal it off to prevent leaks it does help with that but it's mostly used as a lubricant now once you have that on there you want to smooth those fries down and what I don't want you to have is phrase going over the edge because that's how it gets sucked into the hose and then which goes into the pump or
[1:37] into the gun and again can shut you down so just check that out make sure it was clockwise when you put it on you so you want to go in the direction of how you're going to tighten it obviously if this was a reverse thread then we would go the other way but 99% of the time in this industry we don't work with the reverse threads with the machine so it's almost always clockwise and again we want to make sure that you don't have any loose threads hanging over the edge
[2:08] once you do that then you just simply put it on and of course we would use a crescent wrench or wrench to finish tighten in this but that's how you properly use your red tape
