[0:05] all right in this video I want to talk about something very important uh that's important for you to know so that you know it and then also you can explain it to customers because this is going to be something that you want to be very educated on and and know what you're talking about because this will be a question that you'll get asked from time to time when you're on the field um so it's the debate of GPM which is gallons per minute and PSI and which one is more important so on the forums or if
[0:36] you just talk to a regular homeowner most people they really get hyped up about the PSI of a machine the PSI is important because you do need a little pressure but for what we do here at Premiere Pro wash and seal gallons per minute is is way more important than the actual PSI because when we actually talk about the amount of pressure that we use unless we're cleaning like concrete or something really really dirty like grease or something extraordinary that
[1:09] we typically don't do because most time we just seal pavers or we wash houses or lanai's but if you got something really soiled and you need something a little bit more pressure to kind of break that Bond you might use a little bit more pressure than normal but for the most part gallons per minute is is more important than PSI so for us we use all eight gallon or 10 gallon a minute machines it just allows us to be a lot faster it allows us to rely on the
[1:40] the chemicals and detergents to do the work rather than just pressure and water itself plus you get a far better cleaning that's when you start talking about pressure washing versus soft washing as well because pressure washing the old school method was you just hooked up an extension wand and a tip to to a gun and you just blasted the the the the mold and mildew off that's kind of the old school way of thinking and when most people think of power washing or
[2:11] pressure washing that's what they have in their mind but what we do is mostly soft washing and that's where we let the chemicals do the majority of the work and we'll go we'll have another video explaining these chemicals but that's why gallons per minute in our case is much more efficient than relying on PSI because the more volume we can put up in a shorter amount of time the faster we can be so I just wanted to clarify for us PSI yes it's important we use it probably somewhere between 200 PSI to
[2:44] maybe 2000 inside the most when we're doing concrete or something really really soiled otherwise we stay in that two to four hundred PSI range but what matters more to us than anything is gallons per minute because that's what allows us to put a lot more volume of detergent and chemicals and allows us to clean faster and more efficient
